Steel is an alloy made up of iron and typically a few tenths of a percent of Carbon to improve its strength. Metis is a metallic material that was only found on Asteroid Number 9, Metis. It takes on a pearlescent shade and is commonly found as crystalized small chunks, similar to a geode only metal in nature. This material is what Ms. Patel's MaMaFi ring is constructed out of, allowing for the enhanced process of terraforming Mars. However, in 2048, the asteroid crash-landed onto the surface of Mars, causing a massive earthquake echoing throughout the planet even reaching so far as to reach Waterloo city from the Cerebus region. This material is now scattered across the surface as ejecta while the main deposit is being placed under watch by the US Government.
