In addition to the new Lunar Event Workshop, there are new recipes in our existing buildings as the advancements in our Red Planet manufacturing process accelerates us to making this planet ours. There are many Lunar Event treats and additions for you to discover: tea chop, envelopes, fireworks, baijiu, dragon lanterns, sorghum...

The Lunar New Year especially holds a special place in the hearts of many on Mars ever since a Chinese Rover expedition helped assist multiple astronauts during the Mars Dart Disaster of 2032. Among these astronauts include the now famous Beto McCoy, famous for his heroic actions and selfless bravery when he was face to face with disaster.

Tea Shop

Let's start with the Tea Shop. The Tea Shop has six different recipes, two different envelopes, four different fireworks and a special type of alcohol. Yes, you read that right: Alcohol! On Mars!

Envelopes

What are the envelopes and how do you make them?

You can make the envelopes from paper which you can now fabricate in your 3D Print Shop. And you then you open your envelope in the Tea Shop for a chance of winning a lot of Dusk - the amount will depend on the envelope type. Golden envelopes cost more to create in Dusk than Red envelopes but can be much more rewarding.

Red envelopes when opened can give you back anywhere from 8.8% to 188% of your Dusk back while Golden envelopes, being much more expensive to produce, return 10x more than the Red envelopes do for a maximum return of investment of 888%!!!!

If you’re wondering about the prevalence of the number eight, eight happens to be the lucky number in the Chinese culture!

Fireworks

Next are three different colors of Fireworks. These are used all over the sister planets to celebrate almost any occasion. But for this event, these are made in a traditional lunar pattern! You can fabricate these with Paper (which you now can get from your 3D Print Shop), Potassium Perchlorate (which you can now get from your Chem Lab), different metals - depending on the color of the firework.

Blue Fireworks get their coloration from the oxidized copper. So, you’ll need Copper along with the Paper and Potassium Perchlorate to make blue fireworks!

Green Fireworks get their coloration from a combination of Barite which is a new byproduct from Mining Regolith and Aluminum. So, you’ll need Barite and Aluminum along with the Paper and Potassium Perchlorate to make green fireworks!

Golden Fireworks get their coloration from a combination of Halite, a type of salt that can be Scavenged, and Iron which you get from your Smelter. These minerals give the fireworks that Golden coloring!

Once per day, you can use all three of the fireworks in order to create a Fireworks Display within your Actions menu. Once a day, there will be a cooldown, but you will get many different rewards worth more than the single fireworks. Sometimes a lot more!

Baijiu

What is baijiu, you ask? This traditional alcoholic beverage can be made from Fermented Sorghum and a bit of Bamboo. You’ll have to farm both the Bamboo and the Sorghum first in your Greenhouse before you can distill the Sorghum into Distilled Sorghum.

In the Actions menu, you can consume 1 Baijiu, 3 Dusk and 2 Stamina. This can give you up to 30 Dusk and 6 Stamina back but you will have to be pretty lucky!

Obtaining a Lunar Event Workshop

Now, you may be wondering how to obtain a Lunar Event Workshop? You can purchase a Lunar Event Workshop pack from the Store for the following Dusk prices (note: the prices depend on how many have already been sold):

As you can see from the table, the earlier you buy your Lunar Event Workshop, the less you’ll have to pay in Dusk up to a maximum of 500 Dusk.

Dragon Lanterns

The Dragon Lanterns event has ended, if you have any lanterns left over you can use them in the shop. If you have a Reliquary token that is unused, you can exchange it for a refund for your dragon lanterns.

Lunar New Year Artifact - Tiger RoverWorks

If you're lucky enough to collect 100 Tiger Roverworks Shards, the one of a kind unique Tiger RoverWorks Artifact could be yours any time during the 15 days of the Lunar New Year celebrations. The first player to purchase it from the Shop will have the Artifact minted to their wallet! Similar to the other 14 original artifacts, the Tiger RoverWorks comes pre-loaded with 13,200 Dusk which you can collect from every day for 150 days!

Tiger Roverworks Artifact Shards may possibly be found in any of the drops tied to the Lunar New Year Event. Rates will be increasing as we draw closer to the Lantern Festival.

In addition, all Tea Shop NFT’s have a 5% chance of awarding a Tiger Roverworks Artifact Shard if deposited during the Lunar New Year event. (Shard Drops will be turned off after a player has claimed the Artifact)

As you saw above, the Lunar New Year event has added new recipes to the Chem Lab, 3D Print Shop. In fact, here are all the features that have been modified for the event:

Mining Rig

Mining Rig recipes are being adjusted to accommodating a new resource used in the process, a mineral called "Barite", used commonly on earth for Barium Mining. This is a permanent addition to the game, but will be tuned accordingly.

- Barite is now found occasionally when doing low level Regolith and Ice mining (level 1 & 2). It can also be found when Scavenging, and is occasionally a byproduct of smelting copper and steel.

- Level 2 Regolith Mining now requires a small amount of Barite.

- Level 3 Regolith Mining now requires a moderate amount of Barite.

Barite can also be used to create Green Fireworks.

Scavenging

While you’re out scavenging, you can come across Halite, a new ore and a type of salt that is used in the production of all fireworks. In addition, two new seeds can be recovered from your Mars scavenge hunts: Bamboo Seeds and Sorghum Seeds. Bamboo will be used in many applications in the future while Sorghum is used for making Baijiu and Polyactic Acid.

Note: Scavenging will soon require power, so, remember to stock up on Full Power Cells!

Chem Lab

Within your Chem Lab, the Red Planet manufacturing process has been upgraded with the ability to fabricate Potassium Perchlorate and PLA (Polyactic Acid).

PLA: A Sorghum based plastic used commonly in 3d printing processes made from Fermented Sorghum and CO2.

Potassium Perchlorate: A chemical compound of Chlorine and Oxygen used commonly for pyrotechnic devices. Combines Halite and Water

Water Filter

Duskworks engineers have developed a new processing wing for your Water Filters and are now able to ferment Sorghum.

Fermented Sorghum is used for making PLA plastics. It can also be processed into strong alcoholic beverage: Baijiu.

3D Print Shop

Inside the massive interior of the 3D Print Shop sits a new lone printer, capable of fabricating paper from Bamboo and PLA.

Bamboo and PLA plastics can be combined to produce various paper and wood products without the need of trees! The first of these recipes is Paper, which is used for making fireworks, red envelopes, and will return to tie into future recipes as well.

Greenhouse

The greenhouse’s AI has been updated to allow the growing of two new plants: Bamboo and Sorghum.

You can grow these from seeds which you find while Scavenging.

Sorghum - An incredibly easy to grow crop that continues to develop new applications beyond its known uses for food, alcohol, and plastics.

Bamboo - Martians can now grow bamboo - a pathway to our Mars-grown paper and wood products. Transporting these from Earth has never been sustainable!

Polar Workshops and Roverworks have new limited time recipes which require Candy Canes to craft. Scorpius Goods will be able to be exchanged in new daily actions for rewards.

• Players must Fuel their Polar Workshop with Candy Canes to produce Snowmen.

• Roverworks can now craft Toy Rovers using Candy Canes for decoration.

Snowballs

• Craft Snowballs for the Scorpimas Snowball Fight in the Polar Workshop.

• Three Tiers of Crafting Snowball, the better your Polar Workshop the more snowballs you can craft!

Hot Showers

Those snowball fights are cold. Frozen players need to warm back up with a Hot Shower.

• Hot Showers can now be found in Habitats, Shelters, and the Duskworks Landing!

• Use Hot Showers to clear your Frozen Status from the Snowball Fight Leaderboard.

Overview:

Celebrate the luck of the Irish on Mars with our exciting Lucky Mars Event! This limited-time event features exclusive in-game items, unique crafting recipes, and an engaging theme centered around St. Patrick's Day. Players can immerse themselves in festive activities, grow lucky clovers, and create various themed items to show off their Martian holiday spirit.

Themed Crafting Recipes:

Players can use exclusive recipes to create St. Patrick's Day-inspired items such as Lucky Smoothies, Irish Soda Bread, and Green Irish Coffee. These recipes require various ingredients, including some that are event-specific, such as Clovers and Green Food Dye.

There will even be some limited time Cooking Classes you can take in the Library! (Starting Week - 2)

Clover Planting

Players can purchase a Lucky Mars Seed Pack containing Clover Seeds and plant them on Mars. By nurturing the plants with Water and Soil, players can grow Clovers that have a small chance of yielding a rare Four Leaf Clover. If you find a Four Leaf Clover, you can exchange it for a random sellable event recipe.

Leaderboards:

During this event we'll be hosting a Ranked and Raffle style leaderboard each week. For a total of 4 Leaderboards ( 2 Each Week) Players will receive a weekly mission with quick actions they can use to make their choice between the Ranked or Raffle style leaderboard that they would like to participate in for that week. So choose wisely! Expect to see a large amount of Dusk as the rewards for these leaderboards, we'll be feeding a significant amount of Dusk from the Event sales back into the leaderboard prize tables!

The Ranked leaderboards will offer better rewards. Players have two separate weeks to choose their preferred leaderboard style, but can only participate in one type on a given week.

Players can earn points on the Leaderboard by turning in Lucky Items!

Lucky Items:

These items have special value in the event. They can be turned in using quick actions in the Leaderboards.

Four Leaf Clovers are found at a 3% rate from harvesting Clovers, and can be turned in for 100 Points on the leaderboard.

Lucky Coins are found at a low rate from Scavenging. They earn you 50 points on the leaderboard when turned in.

Dusk Nuggets are found from Mining and can be turned in for 25 points on the leaderboard and a draw from the special event Dusk Pool.

Lucky Smoothies (Green Smoothies) are made in the Commissary Kitchen and are worth 10 Points when turned in.

Irish Soda Bread is also made in the Commissary Kitchen and is worth 30 Points when turned in.

Green Irish Coffee is made in the Grind & Brew and is worth 40 Points when turned in.

It’s time for another Eggciting event! This April event is centered around EGGS!

Players have a chance to collect and decorate Easter Eggs from various tasks they do each day during the event.

Players also have a chance to find Golden Easter Eggs which can be opened for event Recipes and other rare event rewards.

Easter Eggs can be found from:

• Feeding Easter Treats to Chickens in a Hatchery (a limited time easter recipe)

• Making Chicken Feed

• Hatching Eggs (as a fun incentive to encourage more hatching)

• Buying Beet Seeds in the Easter Shop

• Buying limited supporter packs in the Easter Shop.

Easter Eggs can be decorated in the Commissary Kitchen using different color dyes that can be learned from event recipes.

Like last month’s event, we will run both a Raffle and Ranked Leaderboard so players can participate with the kind of challenge they prefer.

Limited Time Leaderboards:

Players can compete in leaderboards with a choice of Ranked or Raffle style participation. Ranked leaderboards offer better rewards. Players have 1 big tournament to do as well as they can so there’s going to be an exciting month ahead!

Every day, players also will have a mission they can complete for 250 points in the event leaderboard they’re participating in, as well as a reward box that can contain a chance at a Golden Egg! These can only be done once per day, so persistence is rewarded! These missions also give bonus dusk!

Players can earn more points on the Leaderboard by turning in Decorated Eggs!

The Red Cliffs of Valles Marineris!

Our August Event Closes the month with a scavenging hunt to collect missing pages from the upcoming chapter of the Million on Mars Book! (While Supplies Last!)

Your Goal: Assemble 1 Final Crafted Item, "The Red Cliffs Of Valles", and claim a free Chapter 7 Bundle starting on Friday after the Chapter Sale goes live at 10am CT.

Details:

• This will have a limited stock of 200 for the first players to complete the Set and Claim

• An additional 50 Bundles will be reserved for Leaderboard rewards in our 2 Tournaments

• After the supply runs out we will allow players to turn in the completed set for some small prizes like random research/profession papers.

A recent drive to make the Mars more homely has given rise to a sunflower industry. These sunflowers are valuable to luxury greeneries within the AADZ and Duskworks zones. These groups have started to offer high value items in exchange for these sunflowers.

This event focuses on Sunflowers! The Sunflower Shop will be up for 1 Month and Golden Sunflowers will be dropped once per day for 14 days.

How to Get Started!

So, you've just heard of this new sunflower initiative and want to start growing your own sunflowers? Well first, make sure to get your daily claim!

The Daily claim will award you with a Golden Sunflower and Sunflower Seed in addition to your normal daily rations.

Let's talk about the Golden Sunflower first, these will be given to you once everyday for 14 days starting on May 24th! You can spend these Golden Sunflowers on valuable items within the Sunflower shop.

Okay, cool! Now how do I grow Sunflowers?

Right, right, growing! You'll need to head over to your local Greenhouse to start growing Sunflowers!

They can be grown in any rarity and any level Greenhouse.

Now that you've grown these cool sunflowers, make sure to spend them in the shop or to create Sunflower Oil, which while currently doesn't have a use, will have one in the near future!

Max 'Melon' Solaris is a Billionaire that just put his life savings into his new enterprise here on Mars, centered around selling artifacts to visiting tourists from Earth.

However, before he could set up shop, his cargo ship "A Sunny Tomorrow" tragically crashed, scattering Sunflower resources on the surface outside of Halba Outpost.

Max needs the help of the residents of Mars and the newly arriving visitors from Earth to help him recover the Sunflower resources, and to help him rebuild his collection of crafted Sunflower Artifacts in time for his Gallery opening.

What's this Event About?

Players must collect missing Sunflower resources, and repair/assemble items for Max Solaris' Sunflower Gallery Event. Those who can help recover the most resources will be handsomely rewarded!

Max has a fondness for all things Sunflower, players who acquire Golden Sunflowers, or Martian Sunstones will also find additional opportunity to be rewarded.

Players who have experience and knowledge from Sunflower Lands can immediately start crafting items/resources. Those who are less familiar will need to trade Max for the necessary recipes.

This event is centered around a particular ‘holiday’ that is celebrated on Earth on April 20th every year. For those not aware, Cannabis is also something that is part of many different settlement plans for Mars, due to its versatility and multiple uses.
